Frequently Asked Questions

Surround Audio:

Q   Why is there little or no sound from my rear speakers at certain times?

A   The program material you are listening to may not contain rear channel information or the scene dilliberately lacks rear channel sound.

Q   Why am I having trouble hearing the dialogue in the scene

A   The surround mode may be incorrectly set or the center channel level is set too low.

Multi-Room Audio:

Q   Why is the volume low on my room speakers with the volume control set to high?

A   The master volume on your multi room amp is set too low or the source device (ie IPOD) volume is too low.

Q    Why does my amplifier cut out or go into protection mode?

A   Your room volume controls may be set low while the master is set high. This condition can lead to significant damage if not corrected quickly. Turn the master volume down all the way, them turn all the room volume controls to full, and begin adjusting the master up until a desired maximum is reached.

Remote Controls:

Q  When I select an activity on my remote sometimes one or more devices do not switch on or go to the right input.

Be sure to aim the remote correctly and keep the remote still until it has finished sending all the commands. Most of our remotes have a transmission indicator on the display.

Security Systems:

How do I change the time on my keypad?

A  Press the star button follwed by 6 then your 4 digit master code then 1 then the time in 24 hour military format ( ie 1530 = 3:30 pm) then the month (2 digits) then the day (2 digits) then the year (2 digits) then press ## to finish

Example -      *   6    1234     1      1530      06      27       08
