The alarm system detects intrusion and a signal is sent to the monitoring station.

The monitoring station calls the guard dispatch center with the alarm information.

The guard service dispatches the alarm information to a nearby mobile unit.

The mobile unit arrives on site and calls the monitoring station.

The guard will do a full perimeter check of the building looking for signs of forced entry. If forced entry is found the guard calls the police and the alarm monitoring station.

If there is no forced entry found the guard enters the building and disarms the alarm system.

The guard conducts an interior check of the building looking for anything unusual.

The guard re-arms the alarm system and calls the alarm monitoring station to confirm that a signal is being received.

Before departing the patroller writes a detailed report to leave on site.
