Company History

The company was started in 2001 by owner & technician Syd Coburn, and operated initially as Sherwood Installations, providing installation services to large corporate and local security alarm firms. After several years and thousands of successful installations, the company, has naturally developed into a progressive "media integration" company.

Qualifications

The owner Syd Coburn holds a British Columbia Technical Qualification Certificate (BCTQ) for Security System Service and is a CEDIA Certified Professional Installer with 25 years in the business. As a member of CEDIA we are committed to on-going training keeping us up to date in our ever changing industry.

Sherwood Sound & Security Inc. is a full member of the "Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association" (CEDIA), a BC licensed electrical contractor, and a fully licensed and bonded security alarm company.
